5 Times Reggae Covers Outdid the Originals

When it comes to cover songs, no one does it better than reggae artists. They are quick and always know just how to spin the jams so that they now have a more Caribbean feel to them which is why they get as much love as they do.

From Busy Signal’s ‘Night Shift’ to Alaine’s ‘Hello’, it’s clear there’s just no stopping these artists and here are 5 times other than those two, that Jamaican covers came dangerously close to outdoing the originals.

(In no particular order)

Jemere Morgan ‘Love Yourself’ (by Justin Beiber)

Kranium ‘Sorry’ (by Justin Beiber)

Chris Martin ‘Let Her Go’ (by Passenger)

Konshens ‘Jah Have a Plan’ (sampled Tracy Chapman’s ‘Fast Car’)

Tarrus Riley ‘Lay it all on me’ (by Rudimental ft Ed Sheeran)
